Recently, the 2025–2026 VEX Robotics World Championship successfully concluded in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

The Shanghai Jiao Tong University VEX Team delivered a strong and consistent performance throughout the competition. With solid technical capabilities and seamless teamwork, the team claimed the Overall Champion title in the University Division Skills Challenge.

More impressively, the team achieved a legendary result with perfect scores in both the Autonomous and Driver Skills Challenges, becoming the only team worldwide this season to accomplish a double perfect score in the Skills Challenge.

With outstanding strength and innovation, the SJTU team brought honor to Chinese universities in science and technology innovation.

About the Competition

The VEX Robotics World Championship is the largest, most widely participated, and most influential robotics competition in the world. It features multiple divisions for students of all ages. Among them, the VEX U (University) Division is exclusively for university students aged 18 and above, focusing on robot system integration, technical innovation, and real-time problem-solving abilities, representing the highest level of university robotics competitions.

This year’s championship brought together over 120 top teams from around the world, including prestigious institutions such as Purdue University, University of Michigan, Texas A&M University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Chongqing University, making the competition exceptionally intense.

Competition Recap

Facing a field of formidable opponents, the SJTU VEX Team demonstrated top-tier technical proficiency, mature strategic planning, and strong team cohesion. Through meticulous design, precise control, and efficient collaboration, the team dominated the qualification rounds, achieving a perfect 10 win record and securing first place on the leaderboard. In the highly anticipated Skills Challenge, the team performed under pressure with remarkable consistency, achieving perfect scores in both the Driver Skills and Autonomous Skills. They became the first and only team in the University Division this season to accomplish a double perfect score, decisively claiming the Skills Challenge Overall Championship and leaving the audience in awe.
