The Museum of SJTU’s History was inaugurated in April 1996 at the Xuhui Campus and was remodeled in April 2016. In April 2021, a new museum covering 2,350 square meters was built inside the Wenbo Building at the Minhang campus. 

SJTU Museum is a comprehensive museum for collection, exhibition, research, teaching, academic and cultural exchange. Currently, it has a collection of over 3,300 items including archives, paintings and manuscripts from celebrities. 

C. Y. Tung Maritime Museum was jointly founded by The Tung Foundation (HK) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It’s located in New Zhong Yuan on Xuhui Campus and was officially opened on January 18, 2003.

Cheng Ji Art Museum, located at Siyuan Lake in Minhang Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, was donated by Mr. Cheng Ji, a contemporary Chinese-American watercolor master and lifelong academician of American Academy of Art. Officially opened on April 8th, 1999.

Qian Xuesen Library & Museum, located in Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Xuhui Campus), was completed and open to the public on December 11, 2011- the 100th anniversary of Qian’s birth.
