Shanghai Forum for Education Excellence (SFEE) is one of the major international research brands of the School of Education at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. SFEE aims to build a platform for experts and scholars in the field of global education to exchange and cooperate, and to discuss the future of global education. The conference will focus on the cutting-edge topics of education research and explore the development and application of the discipline of education in the interdisciplinary context. Through this international platform, we look forward to building a closer international cooperation network, promoting exchanges and cooperation in the field of global education research, contributing wisdom and strength to promote the sustainable development of education, and making positive contributions to the progress of global education.
In light of the fast-paced technological advancements and the evolving needs of students and society, coupled with the global competition for talents, new challenges arise in discipline-specific teaching and learning in the digital age. Under such context, the Third Shanghai Forum for Education Excellence (SFEE 2024) will convene at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China from November 9th to 10th, 2024.
The theme for SFEE 2024 is “Excellence and Innovation: The Challenge for Teacher Education in Digital Time”. The conference will focus on the theoretical, practical, and political issues of discipline-specific teaching and learning, including language, arts, social studies, math and science education. Furthermore, the conference will explore the challenges encountered in teacher education and classroom innovation, and discuss strategies for transforming classroom instruction to better meet the evolving needs of students and society.
