Ten couples from Renji Hospital with at least one spouse who served in Wuhan have a special wedding ceremony together on Friday.

Ten couples with at least one spouse who joined Renji Hospital's medical team sent to Wuhan, the former epicenter of the novel coronavirus outbreak in China, had a group wedding ceremony in Shanghai on Friday.

All the brides are medical team members, and in one couple both spouses went to Wuhan.

The 11 medics went to Wuhan as part of the 8th medical team dispatched from Shanghai. They worked in Leishenshan Hospital, the second emergency hospital for coronavirus patients in Wuhan.

They all delayed their weddings for the medical assignment.

"After successfully fulfilling our duties in Wuhan, all of us have grown up and we are stronger to protect ourselves and the people we love," said Xiao Xiao from Renji Hopsital's digestive disease department and one of the brides.
