Integrated Administration Technologies for Information Security

Brief Introduction

Shanghai Key Laboratory of Integrated Administration Technologies for Information Security (SKLIATIS) was approved to establish by Shanghai Science and Technology Committee in December 2002. It was jointly constructed by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Koal Software Co., Ltd. The laboratory focuses on integrated administrative technologies for network information security. Now SKLIATIS has been developed into a professional laboratory which has great influence in the field of information security in China. It is also the first information security key laboratory in Shanghai.

In recent years, SKLIATIS has applied for 50 high-level projects including National Natural Science Foundation, National 863 Program, National Defense Pre-research project, etc, and applied for more than 50 invention patents. The laboratory has developed integrated security management & control platform for large-scale network and security protection system for personal terminal. All of them have been put into wide use. It has won a second prize for National Science and Technology Progress Award, a first prize for Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education, a first prize for Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, a first prize for Shanghai Excellent Teaching Achievements Award and 7 other provincial level awards.

  • Director
  • Li Jianhua, a professor and doctoral supervisor, executive sub decanal of School of Information Security Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, is the director of Shanghai Key Laboratory of Integrated Administration Technology for Information Security and Network Information Security Management and Service Engineering Research Center of the State Ministry of Education. Since 2000, He has become chief expert and management expert of Information Security Technology Panel in National Project 863 during the 10th Five-Year Plan Period, member of National E-government Pilot Demonstration Project Total Panel, expert of China E-government Standardization Total Group, member of National Information Security Standardization Expert Committee, consultant of the Administration for the Protection of State Secrets, leader and chief expert of Total Group in National Information Security Application Demonstration Project(S219) Stage II. He was selected as one of the 1st Shanghai IT Top 10 New-Sharp Youth and offered special allowance for outstanding young experts by the State Council in 2002. He was also selected to be member of the 1st group of New Centaury National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project Level I & II, Shanghai Excellent Academic leader and Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Elite in 2004. Besides, he was awarded the honor of Shanghai Pace-setter in the New Long March in 1995.

    He has directed National Information Security Application Demonstration Project (S219) and 41 national and provincial projects. He has published284 papers, applied for 36 patents (22 patents authorized), got 23 software copyrights and published eight works and three standards (regulations). He has got a second prize for National Science and Technology Progress Award, a second prize for National Excellent Teaching Achievements Award, a first prize for Shanghai Excellent Teaching Achievements Award, a first prize for Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education, two first prizes and four second prizes for Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award.

  • Director of Academic Committee
  • He Dequan, dean of School of Information Security Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, is both the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a member of the National Information Construction Leading Group Panel. He is an expert in Information Technology, and was selected as the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1994. He has also got many treatises and nine awards including the second prize for the State Technological Innovation Award, the third prize for National Science and Technology Progress Award and provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards.

  • Team Members
  • Prof. Xue Zhi. His research interests lie in network attack & defense and security evaluation technology. He has won two first prizes for Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (2003, 2004). Since 2004, he has published more than 35 papers (SCI/EI 5) and 4 books, many of which have won prizes for Excellent Teaching Materials of Shanghai Jiao Tong University etc.

    Prof. Jiang Xinghao is the vice-director of Shanghai Key Laboratory of Integrated Administration Technology for Information Security. Research Interests: Intelligent process for network information, security access control, video watermarking, etc. He has published more than 40 papers, applied for 14 invention patents, and got 3 software copyrights. He has won a first prize for Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education in 2009, two second prizes for Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (2006/2008). He was awarded the honor of Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Venus Talent (A class) in 2010.

    Prof. Li Shenghong His research interests are network content security, network media. He has directed more than 10 high-level projects including National Natural Science Foundation, National 863 Program, etc. He has published more than 80 papers, won a first prize for Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2003. He was awarded the honor of Talent in New Century by Ministry of Education in 2006, and the honor of Shanghai Shuguang Scholars in 2007.

    Prof. Chen Gongliang His research interests are information security and cryptography theory. He was awarded the honor of Shanghai City Yucai Award in 2007. He has published more than 40 papers in high-level journals such as Journal of Sciences (France). His book Information Security Mathematics Basis has won first prize of Shanghai Excellent Teaching Material in 2007.

  • Research area covers multimedia information processing, biometric identification, hidden information identification, bad information filtering, tracking and understanding of network media content, multimedia and text information collection and processing, non-public environment access to information etc.

  • Network attack & defense and security evaluation for information systems
  • Research area covers technologies and tools for infiltration and secret access information for long-range secret network, methods about evaluation and risk assessment for information systems of military enterprises, exploration of the first professional security confidential evaluation tool platform for secret information system in China.

  • E-government engineering and public services
  • Research topics: e-government security application technologies and products; e-government security system engineering design, key technology supporting environment to public services for information security; all kinds of information security services.

  • Key Technology and Application to Public Key Infrastructure and Privilege Management Infrastructure:
  • The establishment of network credit system and cipher management system with Chinese characteristics, including identity support environment system, identity supply system, identity authentication system, identity authorization and management system, identity responsibility confirm system and identity application system.


    Research Achievements

  • ntegrated security management and control platform for large scale network can achieve centralized management of security resources and security status assessment to the whole network. The achievement has been applied to several relevant state departments and National Information Security Emergency Demonstration Project (S219 Project) .It has won a second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.

  • Achievements of information security for public service have been applied to the supporting technologies research of national information security and public service and the application demonstration project. Some basic support systems, including large scale engineering training support systems, collaborative simulation systems, information security systems based on advanced experiments, have been successfully developed. Breakthroughs mainly consist of four common key technologies which include supporting large-scale concurrent access to the information security mechanism for the special training experiment, a large-scale network environment simulation modeling and virtual application technology, intelligent analysis and simulation technology for image and video content, real-time remote collaboration technology of network systems. There are 34 national technical invention patents, nine software copyright registrations, ten books published, and 51 academic papers published in high level journals. A first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education was won in 2009 and the achievements have reached the advanced world level.
