SJTU “E2S2” Approved as Singaporean NRF CREATE Program

On December 5, "Energy and Environmental Sustainability Solutions for Megacities (E2S2)", a program proposed by SJTU in collaboration with National University of Singapore (NUS), has been approved by CREATE (Campus for Research Excellence And Technological Enterprise) of the Singaporean National Research Foundation (NRF).

Based on E2S2, SJTU and NUS will establish the "R&D Center for Energy and Environmental Sustainability" which aims to improve energy recovery from waste, as well as develop system modeling and data management tools to track and mitigate emerging environmental contaminants.

The SJTU-NUS research team is in the charge of Peng Yinghong, Assistant to President, and involves 40 faculty members from nine schools/departments of SJTU and 45 counterparts from ten schools/departments of NUS.
