June 20, 2018      Author:

Recently in the Nature Communication, a paper was published by Key Laboratory of Cell Differentiation and Apoptosis of National Ministry of Education from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. The paper reported PTEN's tumor suppressive role: PTEN protein in cell nucleus could interact with mRNA spliceosome to regulate pre-mRNA splicing, and then could intervene Golgi apparatus's extension and secretion.

The first authors of this paper are Dr. Shen Shaoming from Key Laboratory of Cell Differentiation and Apoptosis of National Ministry of Education and Dr. Ji Yan from Research Institute of Health Sciences of Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Professor Chen Guoqiang and Dr. Shen Shaoming are co-corresponding authors. This research was supported by funds for key project and innovative research group of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and major research project of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
