SJTU Research Group Found Regulating Effect and Mechanism of miR-483-3p

Recently, the research group led by Associate Research Fellow Xu Lu from Shanghai Jiao Tong University College of Basic Medical Sciences published a paper on Oncogene (impact factor 7.519), which is titled with "Epigenetic silencing of miR - 483-3 p promotes acquired gefitinib hold and EMT EGFR - mutant in NSCLC by targeting integrin b3". It was found for the first time that up-regulated expression of hsa-mir-483-3p in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells acquired from EGFR TKI can reverse drug resistance and inhibit lung cancer metastasis.

The postgraduate student of College of Basic Medical Sciences Yue Jinnan, instructed by Associate Research Fellow Xu Lu and Professor Chen Hongzhuan, is the first author. And support was also given by the Collaborative Innovation Center for Translational Medicine of the College of Basic Medical Sciences. Besides, this project was also funded by the Natural Science Foundation of China and Science and Technology Commission Shanghai Municipal.
