The Frontiers in Energy is Included into SCI

On January 23, according to the notice of Clarivate Analytics (The original intellectual property division of Thomson Reuters),the journal the Frontiers in Energy jointly established by Shanghai Jiao Tong University Press, Higher Education Press and the Chinese Academy of Engineering was included into SCIE.

The Frontiers of Energy was found in 2007 and it changed its name from the Frontiers of Energy and Power Engineering in China to the Frontiers in Energy. This journal is edited by academician Weng Shili, academician Ni Weidou and academician Peng Suping. Professor Huang Zhen is the executive editor, and Ju Yiguang, Liu Jing, and Ju Yonglin are deputy editors. In the editorial board, members of the two Chambers account for 38% and the overseas editorial board accounts for 31%. This newspaper is a comprehensive academic journal of energy science, and the main reporting areas are: Fundamental energy science; Energy technology (including Energy generation, conversion, storage, renewable, transport, urban design and building efficiency); Energy and the environment (including pollution control, Energy efficiency and climate change; Energy economics, strategy and policy; Emerging energy issues, etc. 

Through the unremitting efforts of the organizer and the editorial board, the level and academic influence of Frontiers in Energy has been increasing year by year. They have been formally included into ESCI (Emerging Sources Citation Index), CSCD core library (the Chinese science Citation database), SCOPUS, INSPEC, Google Scholar. The publication of Frontiers in Energy by SCIE database marks a new stage of development for the journal.
