SJTU Weng Yifeng and Gao Yuan won 2018 Red Dot Design Award

In August of this year, the first-grade Malaysian student Weng Yifeng and the third-grade student Gao Yuan, both from the major of visual communication of the Department of Design of the School of Design of SJTU, won the German Red Dot Design Award. Their work stood out in more than 8,600 works from designers in 45 countries around the world and was presented the Red Dot Award. Originating from Germany, the Red Dot Award is one of the world’s three major design awards together with the German IF Design and the America IDEA. It is one of the largest and most influential design competitions in the world and is also a recognized symbol of international creativity and design. Winning the award is an honor for all designers in the world. The Red Dot Design Award, as a grand international design competition, consists of three parts: product design, visual communication design and conceptual design.
