SJTU Professors’ Projects Win Highest Architectural Award in Asia

On December 30, 2020, (Asian Association of Architects Architecture Awards) announced the list of winners of the year. “Cotton Lab Urban Lounge”, “Container House”, “Jiading New Museum” designed by SJTU Professor Zhuang Shen and Associate Professor Zhang Haiao were rewarded the Gold Winner , Honorary Mention for , respectively.

Architects Regional Council Asia, or ARCASIA for short, is composed of the 21 most representative and authoritative architect societies in Asia. It was established in 1979 in Jakarta, Indonesia. ARCASIA Awards for Architecture is the highest architectural design award in the architecture industry in Asia. It aims to introduce outstanding architectural works in Asia, encourage the inheritance of the Asian spirit, and promote the improvement of the Asian architecture environment. Awards are divided into 10 types of 6 categories, namely residential project, public amenity, industrial buildings, conservation projects, socially responsible architecture, and sustainability.
