SJTU Made Progress in Research of Synergistic Modification of Histone

April 21, 2016      Author: Chen Haifeng

Recently, an article written by Chen Haifeng's research team which is from the School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was published on the Scientific Reports, journal from the publishers of the Nature, the title of which is "Synergistic Modification Induced Specific Recognition between Histone and TRIM24 via Fluctuation Correlation Network Analysis".  It was the first time that the team studied synergistic modification induced specific recognition between histone and TRIM24 via fluctuation correlation network analysis.

Synergistic

The research team constructed different histone modification models through molecular dynamics simulation combined with fluctuation network analysis and systematically analysed the relationships between "reader" protein named TRIM24 related to breast cancer and histone modification.
