Singapore Consul General in Shanghai Visited SJTU

On Jun. 12, Luo Dewei, Singapore Consul General in Shanghai visited SJTU. Lin Zhongqin, President and Deputy Party Secretary of SJTU met him on Minhang Campus.

Lin Zhongqin introduced cooperation between SJTU and Singaporean universities and expressed SJTU’s willingness on further collaboration on scientific research. Luo Dewei expressed his gratefulness and delivered aspiration for contributing further cooperation.

Luo Dewei also visited the Special Pavilion of SJTU’s 120th anniversary and was impressed by SJTU’s technical achievements.

Faculties from Division for Development of Liberal Arts, School of Mechanical Engineering and Office of International Change and Cooperation attended the meeting.

SJTU has maintained a friendly cooperating relationship with Singaporean universities, and also, has signed university student exchange agreements with National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University for annual student exchange. On 2012, SJTU signed CREAT Project Agreement with National University of Singapore to deal with the major difficulties and challenges of ecological and environmental sustainable development in metropolises. The two sides has carried out bilateral cooperation including faculty and students exchange program and bilateral conferences.
