【ScienceNet】Chen Saijuan Elected Foreign Member of French National Academy of Medicine

It is reported that Prof. Chen Saijuan, Vice Chairman of China Association for Science and Technology, Director of Shanghai Institute of Hematology (SIH), and Member of Chinese Academy of Engineering was elected foreign member of French Academy of Medicine.

It is known that French Academy of Medicine held the conference to confer certificates and name badges on its newly-elected members. Mr. Pierre JOLY, President of French Academy of Medicine announced the news that Prof. Chen Saijuan was elected.

French National Academy of Medicine was created in 1820 and is French medical institution with the highest accolade. Now it has 130 effective members, 160 corresponding members, 40 foreign members and 100 foreign corresponding members. The newly-elected members 2011 includes nine effective, six corresponding, and two foreign and two foreign corresponding.

Prof. Chen Saijuan has not only made outstanding achievements in pathogenesis and treatment of leukemia, but also long been committed to promoting China-France scientific cooperation, academic exchanges and personnel training with outstanding contributions to China-France friendship.
