Professor Ni Jun Won the 2010 Shanghai Magnolia Honorary Award

Professor Ni Jun, the American alumnus of SJTU graduated in 1982, present Director of UM-SJTU Joint Institute and director of the Shien-Ming (Sam) Wu Manufacturing Research Center in MIT, won Shanghai Magnolia Honorary Award this year with his significant contributions to facilitating the cooperation of SJTU and the University of Michigan (UM) in order to promote the exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and U.S. universities and cultivation of senior talents with innovative spirits.

On December 15, the award ceremony of the 2010 Shanghai Magnolia Honorary Award was held at the Distinguished Guest Hall of the Municipal Government. Mayor of Shanghai Han Zheng presented the certificates to 10 award recipients including Ni Jun.
