On the morning of April 13, 2017, Nesim Fintz, Vice President of Paris Seine University, along with his delegation, visited SJTU. Carmen Branescu, Director of the International Exchange Office, and staffs from the Education Department of the General Consulate of France in Shanghai accompanied this visit.
SJTU Vice President Huang Zhen met with the delegation at Minhang Campus and briefed the guests on the internationalization strategy of SJTU, and the cooperation with the world famous universities, especially with the French universities.
Fintz introduced the overall strength of the Paris Seine University, the "Excellent University Program in France" as well as the funding situation of the 4 universities which were sponsored by this program.
The two parties agreed to discuss and sign a two-year student exchange agreement, and carry out student exchange programs as soon as possible.
The delegation also visited the SJTU-Paris Tech Elite Institute of Technology, and discussed the possibility of cooperation.
Paris Seine University was founded in 2012, which is consisted of all together fifteen prestigious universities in Paris, the Institute of Management, the School of Engineering and the Academy of Arts. At present, there are 37,000 students, 2700 teachers, 39 research centers. The school is located in the northwestern part of Paris, belonging to the province of Val d'Oats, the Paris region, which is 25 km from the city of Paris. Besides, there are also three campus zones situate separately in Singapore, Mauritius and Morocco.
