Academician Tan Weihong Won Ralph N. Adams Award & Pittsburgh Analytical Chemistry Award

Recently, SJTU Professor and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the World Academy of Sciences Tan Weihong won both the Ralph N. Adams Award in Bioanalytical Chemistry and the Pittsburgh Analytical Chemistry Award in the Pittsburgh Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy Application Exhibition and Conference held in Philadelphia, USA. He achieved these two awards out of his many breakthroughs and innovation in biosensing, spectroscopic analysis, chemical biology, nanomedicine and molecular medicine. This is the second time for Mr. Tan to get a major award after receiving his first Pittcon Achievement Award in 2004, and he has become the first scientist to score the two influential awards in one year.

The good news is that Prof. Tan's research results have been under preclinical studies at Renji Hospital Affiliated to SJTU School of Medicine and other related hospitals.
