Biography

Professor Li Jiaming was born in Kunming, Yunnan in 1945. He graduated from TaiWan University in 1968 and obtained Ph.D. from Chicago University, USA in 1974. After that, he became a research associate in the Department of Physics at Chicago University, USA. From 1975 to 1976, he became a senior research associate in Physics & Astronomy Department, University of Pittsburgh, USA. In 1977 and 1978, he was a senior research associate in Institute of Laser Energy at Rochester University, USA. The next year, he was employed as an assistant professor in Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and four years later he was a Professor in CAS (1983-).Since 1997, he was employed as Professor and Director in Department of Physics, Center for Atomic and Molecular Nanosciences at Tsinghua University and Professor in Department of Physics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 2003. He teaches New Advance in Atomic and Molecular Physics in colleges. His research interests lie in atomic and molecule physics, calculation physics and theory physics and he has more than 160 publications.
