Huang Hefeng

 

 

Huang Hefeng, female, from Lin’an, Zhejiang Provinence, born in September 1957, is an expert in reproductive medicine. Graduated from Zhejiang Medical University in 1982, Huang is the distinguished professor of School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiaotong University, dean of Embryonic Disease Research Institute, dean of affiliated International Peace Maternity and Child Care Institute, dean of laboratory of reproductive genetics (Zhejiang University), which is a key lab nominated by Ministry of Education. Huang is the first to propose the theory of "sperm/oval source disease", and to carry out pioneering research on the generation and intergenerational genetic/epigenetic mechanism of sperm/oval-derived diseases. As for key scientific problems such as short/long term health condition of assisted reproductive technology (ART) born childs, Huang tries to block genetic birth defects from the source through the ART birth cohort and basic research, optimization of assisted reproduction process, create, reproduction technology to improve the safety of the test tube babies. Huang won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award and the first prize of Zhejiang Science and Technology Progress Award. Hung has also undertaken the "863", "973", "the 12th five-year plan" and the national key research and development plan. Huang have published more than 120 SCI papers in journals including PNAS and Nat Med as corresponding author or co-author. Huang has written the first ART reference book named "Modern Assisted Reproductive Technology" and "Guide to Clinical ART Diagnosis and Treatment". She serves as the editorial board of 6 SCI journals, including Endocrinology. Meanwhile, she is an honorary member of the British Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (Fellow Honoris Causa).
